Plans for 2010?
Yes. I have a plan. I have a plan for 2010. A schedule if you will. Well what is it you ask? Well the plan is to make some modifications to the interface of the site and churn out the next two "settings" which are the Nightmare Lands and Rotten Apple (not the final title).
So what pray tell are the modifications you ask? Well some of it is behind the scenes architectural stuff that no one will see, but it will make shit work more effectively. The stuff that is of interest though, in no particular order:
- Converting the Descriptors List into a definition list of individual items so they can be later pulled into other functions.
- Converting the Life Paths into individual items so they too can be pulled into other functions.
- Finishing the interactive map of the West.
- Creating a character creation module that is uploaded into the database and can then be output to the screen for printing.
- A similar creation module for Conspiracy's, Locations, Artifacts, Minions, and Antagonists.
- Create a submission workflow for the crap I mentioned above.
- Smooth over some of the rough edges in the text. No drastic changes, just cleaning up and better defining the content.
- Finishing up 70% of the art for the setting book by GenCon 2010.
Wait, you said art for a setting book? Yes I did Virginia. The art I have posted to Twitter is part of the first signature of a setting book I am putting together for the West. It is art heavy with little information dump. Mostly implied setting built from the implied setting of the Life Paths. Oh and did I mention that I am hand-making a few?
Yeah. The entire thing is going to be based on a hand-made codex. I'll be posting here the process as I go along as regular updates (I know I said that before, but this shit is easy to post about) with art and my plans and the process. When it is all said and done, I will make a few to sell for ridiculous money, give as gifts to a few deserving souls, and then make a POD copy you can order online. Probably from Lulu, but it still won't be cheap. Already a lot of work has gone into it and I am only half-way done with the first signature.
